Hiscox appointed Mary Boyd CEO of its U.S. business unit to replace Kevin Kerridge, who is stepping down after 30 years in the business.

Boyd, who will join specialist insurer Hiscox on June 24, was CEO of Plymouth Rock Assurance’s independent agency business since 2018. She joined Plymouth Rock from The Hartford, where she was senior vice president with responsibility of the agency and direct channels’ personal insurance businesses. Prior to that, Boyd spent 15 years in high net worth personal lines, beginning her tenure at Chubb and eventually becoming president of the Private Risk Services division.
Hiscox said outgoing CEO Kevin Kerridge will stay on in an advisory capacity over the coming months before leaving to explore opportunities outside Hiscox at the end of September.
