Independent binding authority and wholesale brokerage XS Brokers recently announced Erik Wirkus has been promoted to chief executive officer.

Wirkus has served as president of the Quincy, Massachusetts-based company since 2019. He has been with XS Brokers for 16 years, and has served on insurance carrier advisory boards, and committees of the Wholesale & Specialty Insurance Association (WSIA).
Taking over as president is Sean McVicker, XS Brokers added. He was previously national brokerage property/casualty practice leader. He joined XS Brokers in 2015.
“These internal appointments reflect the depth of talent within our organization and underscore our ability to execute a business strategy focused on growth, sustainable profitability, and delivering leading-edge solutions to help clients thrive,” said Executive Chair Adam Devine.
