State National Specialty Insurance Company, a unit of Fort Worth, Texas-based State National Companies, received a certificate from the state of Ohio granting the company authority to write multiple insurance lines in that state.
Since the unit was acquired by State National Companies in 1999, State National Specialty has gained authorization to conduct business in 12 additional states. The company now operates in 33 states.
State National Companies has also been writing business in Ohio since 1994 through another unit, State National Insurance Company.
