Argonaut Group Names Bufkin VP of Corporate Business Development

Texas-based Argonaut Group, Inc., a national underwriter of specialty insurance products in niche areas of the property-casualty market, named Barbara Bufkin vice president of corporate business development. A 22-year veteran of the industry, Bufkin will be responsible for developing growth strategies and initiatives, new business relationships, ceded reinsurance programs and corporate communications.

Prior to joining Argonaut, Bufkin served as director of Swiss Re New Markets and chairman, president and CEO of Swiss Re subsidiary, Facility Insurance Corporation (FIC) and Facility Insurance Holding Corporation (FIHC).
