San Antonio-based Argonaut Group Inc., a national underwriter of specialty insurance products in niche areas of the property-casualty market, announced that Kate Westover, president of the company’s captive services business unit, was awarded the 2002 Industry Service Award by the Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA).
The award recognizes Westover for her contributions to the overall vitality and general welfare of the captive industry.
In presenting the award, the VCIA Board of Directors recognized Westover for her more than 15-years of work in building the captive industry in Vermont and across the nation.
As president of Captive Advisory Services a member of the Argonaut Group, Westover is responsible for consulting to insureds and brokers interested in comparing the benefits of a captive insurance program to an alternative such as self-insurance.
