ANICO Declares Quarterly Dividend

Galveston-Texas based American National Insurance Company’s board of directors declared a quarterly dividend of 74 cents per share on its common stock, CUSIP #028591-105, payable December 20, 2002 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on December 6, 2002.

The year 2002 represents the 92nd consecutive year in which dividends have been paid to stockholders.
