January 9, 2003

The Society of Certified Insurance Service Representatives (CISR), headquartered in Austin, Texas, selected a new team of executive officers to head its Board of Governors. The CISR Board is the policy-making entity for this not-for-profit insurance education organization and is responsible for guiding the development and future of the CISR Program.

The CISR Program is a designation and continuing education opportunity that serves the educational needs of all insurance agency and company personnel.

Elizabeth Rise, co-owner, agency manager, and principal of the Burd & Rise Insurance Agency of Halstad, Minn. is the new CISR Board chairperson. Rise has been a CISR instructor since 1993 and on the National Faculty of the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) for three years. She joined the CISR Board in 1998 and has served as a regional officer for the Minnesota Independent Insurance Agents and as a member of the State Education Committee.

The Board Vice Chairperson, Victoria V. Lewis, is co-owner, corporate vice president, and agency manager of Lewis Insurance Associates in Stafford, Va. Lewis, an instructor for both the CIC and CISR Programs, is a past president of the Professional Insurance Agents Association of Va. & D.C. She was selected the “Agent of the Year” in 1998 by the National PIA.

Lynn I. DellaCroce is president of LDC Insurance Education in Nipoma, Calif., and a multi-lines producer for Byars Insurance Services in Santa Monica. The new secretary of the CISR Board has been instrumental in the growth of the CISR Program in California. DellaCroce serves on the California Insurance Commissioners Curriculum Board for Continuing Education and was a past “Central Coast Insurance Woman of the Year” due to her active involvement with the National Association of Insurance Women (NAIW).

Rhonda Lobell of Prairieville, La., brings 23 years of agency experience to the executive committee as treasurer. She is owner of Lobell-Dixon Insurance Agency LLC, a property and casualty insurance agency, and Agency Support Services LLC, a training resource for insurance customer service representatives. Lobell, a CISR faculty member, served as the charter president for the Young Insurance Professionals/PIA of Louisiana and was honored as the 1999 “Agent of the Year” by the PIA of Baton Rouge.

“With the extensive experience and individual talents our new Executive Committee brings to the CISR Program, we anticipate another record-breaking year for the Program under their capable leadership,” said Mark J. Rolland, CIC, CISR, president and chief operating officer of the Society of CISR.

“The ongoing development and success of CISR OnLine and CISR In-House will be two focal points for CISR in 2003,” Rolland concluded.

The Society of CISR is a member of The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research, a continuing education provider of advanced insurance training programs in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.
