Southwestern Insurance Information Service (SIIS) announced it will host a Public Policy Seminar, “Texas Workers’ Compensation Issues,” at a Jan.7, 2005, luncheon beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the Red Lion Hotel, 6121 North IH-35, in Austin, Texas.
“This event is open anyone with an interest in workers’ compensation,” according to Sandra Ray, Public Affairs Director. “In addition SIIS will be offering complimentary registrations to legislators and legislative staff members.”
The panel will consist of Lee Ann Alexander, Liberty Mutual Group; Bo Gilbert, Independent Insurance Agents of Texas; Greg Herzog, Texas Medical Association; Larry Hochstetler, National Council on Compensation Insurance; Richard Levy, AFL/CIO and The Honorable Burt Solomons, State Representative, Carrollton, Texas.
The event will offer 2.0 hours of Texas Department of Insurance continuing education credits.
“This Seminar will bring together individuals who have been actively involved in the development of workers’ compensation insurance initiatives in Texas for sometime,” Ray said.
