Encore Bank announced that its affiliate, Town & Country Insurance Agency Inc., acquired the business of John A. Bumstead & Associates Inc., a Houston insurance agency specializing in personal insurance lines.
Established in 1961, John A. Bumstead & Associates offers a full range of insurance products, including homeowners, auto, renters and flood insurance.
“The addition of John A. Bumstead & Associates insurance business further enhances our ability to deliver value-added financial products and services to our clients,” said James S. D’Agostino, Jr., Encore Bank ‘s chairman and chief executive officer. “This acquisition, along with our recent trust operations acquisition announcement, will allow us to better leverage our expanded customer base, further increasing Encore Bank ‘s wealth management capabilities.”

Encore Bank, founded in 1928, is privately owned and headquartered in Houston. Its affiliate, Town & Country, offers a full range of retail personal and small commercial line property and casualty insurance products.
