The Texas Windstorm Insurance Association and Texas FAIR Plan Association have elected new officers for 2006.
Elected were: chairman, James Elbert, owner of Elbert Insurance Agency in Lake Jackson, Texas; vice chairman, James Langford, vice president, Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Company, Waco, Texas; and secretary-treasurer, Jim Wade owner and operator of a multi-chain Blockbuster Video stores and a resident of Port Neches, Texas.
Elbert Insurance Agency has been in business for over 50 years. Elbert, a graduate of Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, is involved in numerous business and community activities.
Langford is vice president-compliance, governmental and regulatory affairs and training for Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Company in Waco. He is a graduate of Baylor University and holds a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter designation.
Wade is a graduate of Memphis State University. He was recently elected to the National Board of the Association of Blockbuster Franchisees and his company was awarded the Blockbuster Franchise Developer of the Year. Wade also is a property developer in several Texas counties.
