Houston-based Markel Global Marine & Energy Inc. (MGME) announced an expansion of product capabilities in its Onshore Energy Property Division.
According to the announcement. the division immediately will begin writing all oil field contractors equipment (hot oil, coil tubing, swabbing, franc, etc.), alongside drilling and workover rigs.
In addition, the SIC Code occupancies will be expanded to include 3000-3089, which encompasses rubber and miscellaneous plastic products. Also added are coal preparation plants, excluding mining exposures.
Ed Duffy, vice president and head of MGME’s Onshore Energy Property Division, said the expansion is expected to “satisfy the needs of our producers who specialize in small-to-medium-sized energy risks.”
Markel Global Marine & Energy Inc. is a member of the Markel Corporation group of companies. Established in November 2006, MGME handles onshore property, builder’s risk and time element coverage on petroleum, gas, petrochemical, high hazard chemical and power generation.
