The Texas Department of Insurance Division of Workers’ Compensation announced that the adjusted annual payroll requirement of an employer for the coverage of seasonal workers is $46,423.
This gross payroll amount will be used in the year 2008 to apply against an agricultural employer’s year 2007 gross payroll, and to determine whether a farm or ranch worker is covered by workers’ compensation.
The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts has calculated that in Texas the inflation rate was 1.1 percent during the period of September 1, 2006 through August 31, 2007.
