Richardson Joins State Auto’s Middle Market and Large Account Unit

Todd Richardson joined State Auto Insurance Company’s Austin, Texas-based Middle Market and Large Account (SAMMI) facility.

Richardson brings more than 19 years of experience to his new role as a SAMMI account executive. Richardson will build the SAMMI presence in Texas and develop its agent and customer relationships.

Richardson reports directly to SAMMI Zone Underwriting Manager Gina Wallisa.

Previous to his current position, Richardson served as senior middle market sales underwriter for The Hartford Insurance Company in Austin and with Great American Insurance Company in sales and marketing capacities.

Richardson began his career as a casualty claims adjuster with Transamerica and moved into supervisory roles with Foremost Insurance Company and Great American.

Richardson is the 10th Austin-based employee hired since SAMMI opened its Austin office in August 2007. Combined with the recent expansion of State Auto’s Wichita Falls, Texas-based personal lines and business insurance operations, State Auto has made a substantial commitment to the Texas P/C marketplace, the company said.
