Texas Gov. Rick Perry named Robert Barnes of Granbury presiding officer of the Texas Mutual Insurance Company Board of Directors. Perry also appointed Jay Eisen of Beaumont to the board.
Barnes is owner and president of Bob Barnes Companies, a real estate development and management company. He is the former president and CEO of Schlotzsky’s Ltd. Barnes is an executive committee member and past president of the Texas Restaurant Association, and a member of the National Restaurant Association. His term expires July 1, 2013. He replaces Richard Cooper of Lubbock as presiding officer.
Eisen is president of Sampson Steel Corporation. He is past president and board member of the Southeast Texas Chapter of Texas Association of Business and a member of the Texas Association of Business Political Action Committee. Eisen is appointed for a term to expire July 1, 2011.
