An Alexandria, La., licensed insurance producer has been issued a cease and desist order and summary suspension for allegedly submitting falsified claims, the Louisiana Department of Insurance reported.
Stacy Buie Anderson, who held a property/casualty license until the current action, was also fined $5,000 by Department of Insurance Fraud Section Investigators for allegedly falsifying health insurance claims on her children.
It is alleged that during the years of 2005 through 2008, Anderson altered claims for her children in order to receive additional benefits. It is further alleged that she submitted claims for services that were never rendered.
Anderson also held a life and health license, which lapsed April 30, 2008.
