Simon Bancroft has joined Southwest Risk as senior vice president and property manager. Southwest Risk is a member company of Southwest Insurance Partners and operates offices in Dallas and Houston.
As property manager, Bancroft is responsible for the growth of the Southwest Risk Property Practice along with the expansion and development of carrier relations.
Bancroft comes to Southwest Risk from Van Wagoner, where he served as executive vice president. Prior to joining Van Wagoner, he spent 30 years with Swett & Crawford where he served as broker, property manager and branch manager for the Dallas office.
He is a former president of the Texas Surplus Lines Association, chairman of the Board of the Texas Stamping Office and has held various committee positions with NAPSLO.
Bancroft joins Randy Sutherlin who serves as senior vice president and casualty manager at Southwest Risk, a position he has held since January 2009. Prior to Southwest Risk, Sutherlin worked in an underwriting capacity with The Hartford. In 2002 he joined Westrope as casualty broker and served as Southwest Regional director. Sutherlin holds an MBA and the CPCU designation.
