every since the bus accident years ago the p&c market has reduced their market shares in south texas for this very same idea. once others saw the massive payments made on legitimate claims it wouldn’t take long before others would try to line their pockets either through building large claims from small accidents or false claims. these things seem to take a life of their own after a while and spin out of control towards the end. unfortunately it is an old story with few new wrinkles but always end tragically for those involved.
Does anyone else think it took them a little too long to figure this out? $3 mil and thousands of claims from the same doctors seems a little unusual to me but I’m not paying the bills.
