CIC, CISR Scholarships Awarded to Insurance Women of Texas Members

Five insurance scholarships have been awarded to members of the Federation of Insurance Women of Texas (FIWT). The scholarships are for CIC and CISR programs presented by the National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research.

Theresa Scott, regional relationship manager for The National Alliance, said the National Alliance partnered with FIWT in awarding the scholarships.

The CISR scholarship recipients are:

• Pamela J. Baer, R. N. Jones Agency Inc., Harlingen
• Pamela Ann Lankford, Barnard Insurance Agency, Wichita Falls

The CIC scholarship recipients are:

• Alexis Dowling, John D. Williams Agency, El Paso, Texas
• Tabitha Richardson, Swingle Collins & Associates, Dallas
• Sharon Foster (in conjunction with the Texas Chapter of CICs), Barnard Insurance Agency, Wichita Falls

In addition to granting scholarships, The National Alliance and FIWT have worked together to encourage nominations for the Outstanding CSR of the Year Award and to share findings from The National Alliance Research Academy.
