The CPCU Society’s Fort Worth Chapter presented 12 students with scholarships on Oct. 24, 2011. The recipients were Risk Management & Insurance majors from the University of North Texas.
A total of $16,000 in scholarship money was awarded, with the chapter contributing $10,000 and the Loman Foundation adding $6,000.
This year the chapter presented the Robert Purdin Memorial Scholarship to Caroline Cremer. The Purdin family have been long time supporters of the annual golf tournament and generously donated $3,000 to be awarded to an outstanding Risk Management & Insurance student.
The Fort Worth Chapter holds a golf tournament each April to raise funds for the scholarship program.
Over the last 15 years, the Chapter has awarded $200,000 in scholarship funds to UNT Risk Management & Insurance students.
