Insurance brokerage and risk management services firm Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired of Detlefs Johnson & Partners located in Baton Rouge, La. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
With operations dating to the 1970s, Detlefs Johnson & Partners offers a wide range of employee benefit consultation, human resource and insurance benefit brokerage services for their clients throughout the southern and central United States. The firm specializes in group health, life, disability, dental, retirement planning and human resource services.
Philip Detlefs, Gary Johnson, Amanda Hamilton and their associates will continue to operate in their current location under the direction of John Neumaier, South Central regional executive vice president of Gallagher’s employee benefit consulting and brokerage operations.
Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., headquartered in Itasca, Ill., has operations in 17 countries and offers client-service capabilities in more than 110 countries around the world through a network of correspondent brokers and consultants.
