What is their plan to prevent looting of the stores next time? I am sure the school buses will be used to evacuate next time. The Superdome should stock up on C rations and have Portolets set up. The Chocolate City will be prepared, right?

What a sad laugh. The Army Corps of Engineers were responsible for the levees and other flood controls that failed with Katrina. Now we should believe that this same entity can do the job correctly this time? What a joke and waste of taxpayer money.

I agree TG. New Orleans is about as vulnerable as a city can be when a major storm like Katrina comes in. Despite a huge budget, the Corps of Engineers failed to maintain the levees and look what we got. The politicians also failed to evacuate when they had plenty of time and hundreds of school buses at their disposal which were ruined when they were flooded as well sitting in the parking lots. Everything about this situation was rife with corruption and mismanagement.
