NFL’s QB Young Sues Ex-Agent, Former Money Adviser

June 13, 2012

NFL quarterback Vince Young has filed a fraud and breach of contract lawsuit against his ex-agent and a former financial adviser.

The Houston Chronicle reports that the lawsuit filed Monday in Houston claims misappropriation of millions of dollars since Young was drafted by the Titans in 2006. He signed a $54 million contract.

The lawsuit names attorney Major Adams II of Houston, financial adviser Ronnie T. Peoples and Raleigh, N.C.-based Peoples Financial Service Inc.

Adams denied any wrongdoing, saying Tuesday that he never had access to Young’s accounts. Adams says he’ll file a counterclaim of defamation.

Peoples didn’t immediately comment.

Young, who’s from Houston, was released by the Titans last July. The former University of Texas star played for the Eagles in 2011 and signed with Buffalo last month.
