As a resident of Bayou Corne and having a home within the mandatory evacuation area, I can tell you that as of today (May 9, 2013) Texas Brine has yet to make any buyout offers. In my opinion they are again dragging their feet in this situation. Now they are backing us residents into a corner because the 1yr cut off date for filing a suit or loose most of your legal rights is quickly approaching and they have not made a buyout offer yet. Governor Jindal needs to understand just what is going on in Bayou Corne and apply pressure on Texas Brine to expedite buyout offers. We the residents are still hurting from what Texas Brine had caused and most have no where to go and very little money to move out. Anyone have recommendations of what we should do to expedite any buyout offers. Just doesn’t seem to be happening like Governor Jindal said it would. Is that a suprise to anyone?
