Ban Pit Bulls, the favorite pet of small-brains. People are too stupid to have them.

We’re involved with our local animal shelter and have come in contact with many pit bulls. They can be the sweetest things on earth and turn on you for not reason whatsoever. I hate generalizing, but the breed is a problem. Having more than one is really a crap shoot. They are pack animals that are unpredictable and deadly, period.

Why don’t we just outlaw them altogether? They were only bred to fight and kill.

Pit bulls are a problem. Our dog was mauled by a pit in January – both dogs were on a leash. The difference is that the pit was being walked by a 12 year old, petite girl who couldn’t control it. Luckily our dog survived – it was touch and go. We were also lucky it wasn’t a human.

The pit was not licensed, had no shots and was turned loose (in a large metropolitan area). Now the dog roams our neighborhood and we are afraid to take walks.

Pit bulls should be outlawed. Whodathunkit is 100% correct. They can turn on a moments notice for NO reason.

The dog NOW roams YOUR neighborhood in a large metropolitan area and NO ONE has called Animal Control to catch the dog????? You might be responsible for your own outcome!!!

So when do we outlaw and eradicate all roosters because some of them are used in illegal activities? I know Pit Bull can be dangerous. So can Dobies, RottWeilers, German Shepherds and even small dogs. All animals need a responsible handler. If an animal proves to be dangerous, then putting that animal down may be the only answer. But to eradicate Pit Bulls altogether? With that same logic, we would be required to exterminate the human race

Exactly! No matter how domesticated a dog is, it is still a dog, not a person who reasons. Pit Bulls must be trained properly, just like any other protection dog (doberman or german shephard, for example).

As for the insurance requirement, owners will probably have to go to the surplus market. All of the homeowners or personal property policies I have read exclude pretty much all dog breeds that have ever bitten a person. So, the city may in fact be banning pit bulls after all.

See how many people have small brains!?! The number is increasing every day with the shrinking gene pool. Predictable.
Stupid people are dangerous to themselves AND their neighbors. Beware.
