Fantastic idea. I wish Texas had a similar law. Although there is mandatory liability, there is still far too many uninsured motorists running around including a large contingent of illegals. Perhaps if more people had insurance, the rates would come down. A good number of claims our insureds have are with some uninsured motorist who runs a red light or fails to yield and hits our insured. They could also ban month to month policies since the uninsured crowd gets insurance for a month, gets their license or registration renewed and then lets the coverage drop for the remaining 11 months.
