The Workers Compensation Research Institute (WCRI) announced that Michael Clingman will be joining WCRI in January as a regional director. He will be based in Oklahoma.
Clingman most recently served as administrator of the Oklahoma Workers’ Compensation Court. Prior to that, he held a number of executive positions in state government and the private sector, including CEO of the Oklahoma State Insurance Fund, Oklahoma state budget director, Oklahoma Secretary of the Senate, Secretary of the Oklahoma State Election Board, CEO of the Arkansas Workers’ Compensation Commission. He also has directed the property/casualty lines of an insurer.
At WCRI, Clingman will be responsible for relationships, revenues and the impact of studies in a dozen states. He will work collaboratively with researchers on studies, and help public officials and stakeholders to apply the findings of relevant WCRI studies to local public policy debates.
The Cambridge, Mass.-based WCRI is an independent, non-partisan research center that is recognized as a leader in providing high-quality, objective information about public policy issues involving workers’ compensation systems.
