Houston-based Columbia Lloyds Insurance Co. (CLIC) and MDOW Insurance Co. (MDOW) announced the retirement of James Robert “Bob” Sullivan effective Jan. 31, 2014.
Sullivan served CLIC and MDOW as president from 2005 to 2011 and as vice president of marketing since 2011. Premium volume more than doubled from $21M to nearly $50M in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas under Sullivan’s leadership.
Steve Manning has been named interim marketing manager for both CLIC and MDOW effective Feb. 1, 2014.
Manning has worked with CLIC and MDOW for the past six years as Oklahoma marketing representative and more recently as the Northwest Texas marketing representative. He has appointed and trained nearly 500 agents for CLIC/MDOW. Prior to joining CLIC/MDOW, Manning was the director of commercial underwriting for Oklahoma Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Co. for more than 25 years.
