Austin, Texas-based Combined Agents of America LLC (CAA) announced that through organic and membership growth the insurance agency aggregator grew by 21 percent in 2013.
CAA wrote more than $707.8 million in property/casualty premium in 2013, compared to $566.7 million in 2012.
CAA’s 51 independent insurance agency members are located in Texas, Kansas and Oklahoma.
The group added five new Kansas members at the beginning of 2013 that brought a book of business worth $65 million in premium in 2012, boosting CAA’s growth in 2013.
For the first time, in 2013 crop insurance premium was included in calculating CAA’s annual total premium numbers, as agriculture business plays an important role in the book of business of its growing group of Kansas members. In 2013, $23.4 million in crop insurance premium was included in the total CAA premium number.
