Willis North America has appointed David S.J. Wightman, as senior vice president and West Region surety practice leader, Willis North America. He is based in Houston.
Wightman joins Willis from Aon where he most recently served as director, Southwest Region, Construction Services and Surety Group.
Wightman will be responsible for Willis North America’s Surety operations across Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Oregon and Washington. Additionally, he will work closely with Willis’s Default Insurance group and property/casualty programs to ensure clients receive seamless delivery of coverage expertise. Wightman will report to Scott Hull, executive vice president and global head of Surety, Willis Group.
Wightman has deep industry expertise with approximately 30 years of experience in the insurance and surety. Before joining Aon in 2008, he managed Traveler’s Texas region surety operations.
He currently serves as the Construction Financial Management Association’s national secretary, vice chair of the Finance Committee, and vice chair of the Leadership Advisory Board. He is also a past president and active member of CFMA’s Houston Chapter.
