Denise Tucker, a teacher at Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, has been named the 2015 InVEST Teacher of the Year. The program is a key driver to attract new talent to the insurance industry.
Tucker has taught high school for nine years, including four on the Woodrow Wilson High School faculty. A popular teacher and community leader, she was nominated by the Independent Insurance Agents of Dallas.
Tucker is credited with bringing the InVEST program to Woodrow Wilson High School and successfully managing an exciting curriculum that includes internships and job shadowing days, and launching an Academy of Finance Advisory Board operated by students.
