Arkansas Insurance Commissioner Allen Kerr says the Consumer Services Division (CSD) of the Arkansas Insurance Department recovered $1,580,421 for Arkansas insurance customers in the first six months of 2016.
The amounts recovered for Arkansas consumers by CSD are in excess of the amounts initially offered by insurance companies.
In the first six months of 2015, $1,443,296 was recovered.
So far in 2016, the Consumer Services Division received 1,242 complaints and closed 1,142 cases.
