XL Catlin has promoted Jeffrey Loechner to Gulf Coast territorial manager for its U.S. Marine insurance business.
He assumes underwriting and management responsibility for ocean cargo, blue and brown water hull, P&I, and excess and primary marine liabilities in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi.
Loechner joined XL Catlin in 2012 as a senior underwriter for Ocean Marine with a focus on all Marine insurance lines, including blue and brown water hull, marine liabilities and cargo insurance. He started his career at the American Hull Insurance Syndicate in 2002, following his graduation from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, where he earned a commission as a Naval Officer, a USCG Third Mate License and degree in Marine Transportation and Logistics.
