Camille Garcia has been named director of Communications and Public Relations for the Insurance Council of Texas (ICT).
Garcia spent 20 years with State Farm Insurance and for 14 years she led its communications and philanthropic efforts in the California and Pacific Northwest territories. Most recently, she served as senior public relations manager in State Farm’s new Richardson, Texas, regional office.
Garcia directs ICT’s external communication strategy and is responsible for outreach to its member companies, the public, and media.
ICT’s Manager of Public Relations and Membership Mark Hanna recently announced his retirement, after 17 years at ICT, effective Nov. 30.
In ICT’s announcement, Garcia thanked Hanna for his many years of service. “Mark has cultivated scores of relationships and developed some outstanding programs for our Texas insurance industry. I sincerely thank him for his many contributions and welcome the opportunity to build upon that foundation.”
Garcia joined ICT on July 1.
