Harlos Joins Texas Security General Agency as VP, Operations

Texas Security General Insurance Agency LLC (TSGA), based in San Antonio, Texas, has added Marian Harlos as vice president of Operations.

Harlos brings 38 years of insurance industry experience. She began her career in the insurance industry in 1981 working for San Pedro Insurance Agency. In 1996, she joined the national brokerage firm of Marsh & McLennan responsible for their centralized business center in San Antonio.

With years of agent/broker experience and wanting to experience the carrier side of the industry, in 2018 she joined The Hartford Insurance Co. as a service center manager.

In a media release, TSGA said Harlos’ vast industry experience and passion for helping others has provided her with a greater understanding of the needs of agents and the urgency of “closing the sale” along with the importance of the service required thereafter.

Harlos was the recipient of the 1996 Independent Insurance Agents of Texas, Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) of the Year Award, as well as the 1996 Independent Insurance Agents of America Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) of the Year Award. Her professional designations include CPCU, ACSR and AAI. She holds risk management, surplus lines and general agent licenses.

Texas Security General Insurance Agency offers a multitude of personal lines homeowners, dwelling fire and mobile home markets, and represents more than 40 commercial lines carriers that provide competitive markets for property, package, general liability, garage, professional, oil and gas and inland marine products.
