The Texas Surplus Lines Association is warning its members of a fake email that has been sent out under the name of TSLA President Jennifer Mier. TSLA is urging members not to respond to the email.
In an emailed message, TSLA Executive Director Jean Patterson said the fake email, which requests donations of gift cards for a supposed charity, has not been sent by Mier or the organization.
“This is not a real email and was not sent by TSLA or Jennifer Mier,” Patterson said in the official TSLA email message.
“TSLA would never send an email in this format and the email listed for Jennifer is incorrect. We apologize for the confusion,” Patterson continued.
Below is an example of the email being sent as representing Mier and TSLA.
