Rust-Ewing, Watt, & Haney Inc., a Texas City, Texas-based provider of personal and commercial insurance products, has reported that Rust-Ewing Insurance and Assurance One Insurance are being renamed Texas First Insurance, effective Sept. 1, 2020.
The agency headquarters will remain in Texas City with an office in Houston off Eldridge Parkway. The agency offers commercial and personal insurance, group benefits, and surety bonding product lines.
Rust-Ewing, Watt, & Haney Inc. (REWH) has operated as an independent insurance agency since 1925. Twenty years ago, REWH joined the Texas Independent Bancshares (TIB) family, a holding company under the leadership of Charles T. Doyle, chairman of the board. TIB is also the parent company of Texas First Bank.
With the name change, agency ownership and leadership will not change.
