Insurance Office of America Adds Chris Despot
Insurance Office of America had Chris Despot to its team as a risk management consultant. While serving all states, Despot brings a new IOA presence in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas.
Prior to joining IOA, Despot spent more than a decade as a property and casualty insurance broker for Willis Towers Watson. He began his professional insurance career working for a family-owned insurance agency based in Birmingham, Alabama. Building on this foundation allowed Despot to better understand the importance of risk management and insurance as well as the financial challenges facing business owners and executives.

David Wightman Joins Alliant
Alliant Insurance Services has hired David Wightman as senior vice president. With more than 35 years of experience in the insurance industry, Wightman is a skilled surety broker in both the construction and energy sectors. In his new role, Wightman will focus on serving the needs of domestic and international surety clients within the construction industry.
Prior to joining Alliant, Wightman served as senior vice president and west region surety practice leader for a global insurance brokerage. Prior to his brokerage career, Wightman led the Texas contract surety operations for Travelers, where he spent 20 years.
Wightman is based in Houston, Texas.
