Relation Insurance Services, a national insurance agency based in California, has acquired the assets of Dallas, Texas-based Sleeper Sewell Insurance, the company announced Thursday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 1962, Sleeper Sewell offers a full suite of employee benefits, commercial lines, and personal lines products to companies and individuals across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Sleeper Sewell’s clients consist of individuals and businesses across a broad spectrum of industries that include industrials, financial institutions, manufacturing, restaurants, transportation, and life science. All principals and employees of Sleeper Sewell, including Myles Mendenhall, President and Michael Darnell, Executive Vice President, will continue with Relation.
In conjunction with the acquisition of Sleeper Sewell, Relation announced the hiring of Vincent Bell as Vice President in its Dallas office. Vince previously served as President of Bell Insurance Group, a long-standing insurance brokerage firm in Dallas. Vince will lead the further development of Relation’s P&C practice in Dallas, producer recruiting efforts and acquisition sourcing.
