The Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) said it has adopted a new form: DWC Form-033, Request to Reduce Income Benefits Due to Contribution (DWC Form-033), effective immediately.
The DWC said the adoption of the form is necessary to allow insurance carriers a way to reduce the amount of income benefits they pay to an injured employee if there was a past work- related injury to the same body part or parts.
Insurance carriers are to use the adopted form on or after June 13, 2022. The form is on the TDI website.
