Main Street Banks Inc. has acquired Hometown Insurance Center, Inc. of Winder, Ga.
Founded in 1991 by J. Gregory Dillard, Hometown Insurance Center is a multi- line independent insurance agency serving Barrow, Jackson and Gwinnett counties. Hometown employs 11 insurance professionals selling business, personal property and casualty insurance among its products.
Effective with the merger, Hometown combined its operations with Williamson Musselwhite & Main Street Insurance, the wholly owned insurance agency subsidiary of Main Street Banks.
