The South Carolina Department of Insurance has invited interested parties to assist the department in drafting a bulletin to communicate multiple changes in a new producer licensing law scheduled to go into effect Jan. 31, 2003.
The Producer Model Licensing Law (House Bill 4096), signed by the governor in June, is available at: http://www.scstatehouse.net/bills/4096.htm. The department will begin work on the bulletin Oct. 1.
Those persons interested in submitting comments and/or questions regarding the new producer licensing law should contact James Byrd at the S.C. Department of Insurance at jbyrd@doi.state.sc.us.
