Plantation, Fla.-based 21st Century Holding Company announced that one of its subsidiaries, American Vehicle Insurance Company, has been approved by the insurance division of the Florida Department of Financial Services to begin writing General Liability policies.
Richard A. Widdicombe, president of American Vehicle, said, “This line of business is slated to be a significant contributor to our top and bottom line growth over time.”
Widdicombe also announced the appointment of Irwin “Buck” Giesecke to the position of executive VP of American Vehicle. Giesecke was formerly vice resident and COO of Commercial Casualty Insurance Company and senior vice president of Burlington Insurance Company. He has over 30 years experience in the insurance field and will oversee the General Liability program.
