The Florida Insurance Council announced that Progressive and the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies have recently joined the Florida-based insurance trade association.
“This is one of the most significant developments for FIC in terms of new members in quite some time,” said FIC President Guy Marvin. “With NAMIC, we now have all of the major national trade members in our group. Progressive is an outstanding auto writer and a huge player in Florida as well as most other states.”
Progressive’s contacts with FIC will include Juan Andrade, general manager, Gulf States Region, from Tampa. Progresive will be serving on several FIC committees, including Auto, Fraud, Ballot Initiatives, Legal Reform/Financial Services and Public Affairs.
NAMIC’s contact with FIC will be David Reddick, from Indianapolis. NAMIC will participate in all of the Council’s property and casualty-related committees.
