Georgia Insurance and Fire Commissioner John Oxendine announced that two arrests have been made in connection with a daycare center fire in Cochran, Ga.
Angel Farrow Gordon, 35, was arrested for allegedly conspiring to set fire to her daycare center, Angel’s Sonshiny Kids Center, in Cochran.
Also arrested was Gordon’s brother, Harvey Lee Cason Jr., 26.
Cason and Gordon were both charged with second degree arson. Oxendine said other charges are pending.
The daycare center burned Feb. 20, 2003 and was determined to be a total loss. Gordon allegedly filed a claim after the fire with Georgia Farm Bureau Insurance Company.
Oxendine said further arrests may be made in the case.
