West Virginia’s Workers’ Compensation Commission recently filed injunctions against two state employers whose accounts with the Commission are reportedly in default.
Injunctions were filed in Kanawha County Circuit Court against the following:
* Absolute Perfection Hardwood Floors Inc., a Kanawha County carpentry business, owes back premiums, interest and penalties totaling $19,034.76; and
* Bitwell Enterprises LLC, a Harrison County construction business, owes back premiums, interest and penalties totaling $17,563.01.
Workers’ Compensation Commission Executive Director Gregory Burton said the Commission will continue initiating litigation involving delinquent businesses throughout the state to help assure everyone pays their fair share. The injunctions call for the firms to cease business.
