West Virginia’s Workers’ Compensation Commission recently filed injunctions against three state employers whose accounts with the Commission are reportedly in default.
Injunctions were filed in Kanawha County Circuit Court against the following:
* Praise Construction Inc., a Logan County general building construction business, owes back premiums, interest and penalties totaling $37,018.17;
* Bebe Enterprize Inc., a McDowell County trucking and garbage business, owes back premiums, interest and penalties totaling $15,409.26;
* Dorothy Lou Moss d.b.a. Moss Trucking, a Kanawha County materials hauling business, owes back premiums, interest and penalties totaling $12,286,71;
* Creative Lawn & Nursery, a Putnam County landscaping and gardening business, owes back premiums, interest and penalties totaling $20,708.41; and
Beckley Footaction Inc., an out-of-state business, owes back premiums, interest and penalties totaling $64,658.26.
Workers’ Compensation Commission Executive Director Gregory Burton said the Commission will continue initiating litigation involving delinquent businesses throughout the state to help assure everyone pays their fair share.
The injunctions call for the firms to cease business.
