Navigating Commercial Marine Liabilities – This course covers third-party liabilities, such as Commercial General Liability and major exclusions and limitations in non-marine forms. Other topics include: Protection and Indemnity (P&I) coverage, major exclusions, a comparison of forms in common use, crew coverage, CCC (care, custody, and control) Liability, Wharfingers, Terminal Operators, Stevedores Legal Liability, common endorsements, umbrellas, and bumbershoots.
Navigating Marine Workers’ Compensation. – This course is an expansive discussion of the Longshore and Harborworkers Act, Maritime Employers Liability, Merchant Marine Act (the Jones Act), Protection and Indemnity, and all forms of marine exposure for employees. The class also discusses how to properly identify these various exposures, the recommended coverages for them, plus how they fit into a risk management program of businesses with maritime exposures.
