Crawford & Company U.S. Quality Award Program Honors Employee Performance

Crawford & Company, of Atlanta has announced its 2004 winners of its U.S. Quality Award Program. The program recognizes Crawford employees and branches for consistent outstanding performance in producing a quality product and extraordinary customer service.

Awarded annually to up to four employees in the U.S., the Top Quality Award goes only to individuals whose day-to-day performance exemplifies the highest regard for quality of service and customer care. The 2004 winners are:

Helena Carpenter, a casualty adjuster in the Lexington, Ky. Claims Management Services branch. Carpenter also won this prestigious award in 2003;

Richard Corliss, an adjuster in the St. Paul/Roseville, Minn. Risk Management Services branch;

Yvonne Will, a medical services consultant in the Albuquerque, N.M. Healthcare Management Services branch; and

Annie Kopelic, a senior auditor/trainer. A Home Office employee, Kopelic resides in the Portland, Ore. region.

There are two levels of Branch Quality Awards — Quality Branch and Center of Excellence.

The Quality Branch Award recognizes operations branches that have distinguished themselves in the areas of quality and customer service.

The Center of Excellence Award recognizes branches delivering consistently superior performance in the areas of quality and customer service with an emphasis on effective management and development of employees.

The managers of all Centers of Excellence are recipients of the Excellence in Leadership Award — Operations.

The 2004 recipient of the prestigious Center of Excellence and Excellence in Leadership Award — Operations is the Erie, Pa.

Healthcare Management Services branch managed by Kathy Smith.
The 2004 Branch Quality Award winners were:

The Norfolk, Va. Claims Management Services branch, managed by Scott MacLeay, won for the second year in a row;

Charlotte, N.C. Healthcare Management Services branch managed by Bill Bivens, Jr.;

St. Paul/Roseville, Minn. Risk Management Services branch managed by Jason Hernesman;

Client dedicated Risk Management Services branch in Memphis, Tenn. managed by Walter Wallace; and

Philadelphia, Pa. Risk Management Services branch managed by Bryan Cress.

Crawford’s Quality Honor Roll Award annually recognizes employees throughout the U.S. whose consistent superior performance in the areas of quality and customer service has had a positive business impact. The 2004 Quality Honor Roll winners are:

Harry Rinehart, Allentown, Pa. Claims Management Services branch;

Jon McCreath, Home Office in Atlanta;

Kristin Licklider, Risk Management Services Atlanta branch; and

Charlynne Tamichi, Hayward, Calif. Risk Management Services branch.
