Jeffrey S. Wright has been promoted to vice president of DVUA West Virginia Inc., DVUA of Virginia Inc. and DVUA of Ohio Inc., according to George F. “Rusty” Ellis, senior vice president.
Wright manages the commercial transportation and garage departments of the West Virginia office, which consists of a staff of 11. These departments specialize in exposure classes within trucking, public auto and dealer/non-dealer garage.
Wright joined DVUA in the fall of 1991. He was promoted to senior underwriter in 1995 and assistant vice president in 1996. Wright graduated from the NAPSLO Excess and Surplus Lines School in 1993 and attained the Associate in Underwriting designation from the Insurance Institute of America in 1994. In 2004, he successfully completed the Dale Carnegie Course. He is licensed as a property-casualty agent and an excess lines broker for W.Va.
Founded in 1947, DVUA specializes in “hard to place” products and general liability, professional liability, commercial property and transportation risks.
The firm is headquartered in Hurricane, W.Va. It has seven offices Hatboro, Penna.; Massachusetts; Northern New Jersey; North Carolina; Pittsburgh, Penna.; South Carolina and West Virginia.
