Randall Jones, chairman and chief executive officer of Maxum Indemnity Co. and Maxum Casualty Insurance Co., announced key executive management changes for the specialty lines insurance carrier.
Jones announced that Joseph “Jay” Lughes Jr., former president of Western Heritage Insurance Co., has joined as president and chief operating officer of Maxum Indemnity and Maxum Casualty in Duluth, Ga., and will serve as a director of both companies.
Other executive changes include Jones’ transition to chairman and CEO of both companies that make up Maxum Specialty Insurance Group.
Harley Franken, executive vice president, will continue to oversee underwriting operations including guidelines, training and audits.
Gene Gopon, former chairman of Maxum Indemnity and Maxum Casualty companies, remains as director of the companies and will continue as president and director of the holding company, Northern Homelands Co.
